Ethiopia, the birthplace of the coffee plant, is known for producing some of the best coffee in the world. This lot of beans comes from small farms in the Guji region of southwest Ethiopia. The Guji region enjoys ideal coffee growing conditions. Its volcanic soil is bursting with nutrients, creating deep red and brown top-layer of soil. The regions’ high altitude, bi-modal rainfall pattern and dry weather allow for the coffee cherries to develop slowly, maximizing flavor. This lot of beans was processed at a washing station that works with local farmers to improve quality and productivity.
This exceptional coffee brews a bright cup with light body and delicious fruity and floral flavor notes.
